Our Story.
Back in 2003, Chris set up Orbital Design with a simple idea: to deliver honest, strategic graphic design without the agency fluff.
Today, we still have that same hands-on approach, backed by two decades of experience and long-standing relationships with both local businesses and national organisations.
We’re proud to be based in Lancashire, yet just as proud of the trust clients place in us across the UK, from start-ups to large institutions. All because we believe in doing great work through personal attention and straightforward service.

Catherine
Business Director
Co-owner of Orbital Design and Chris' better half, Catherine is the brains behind the operation at our studio. Catherine loves travel and enjoying a cocktail - her favourite place she has visited so far is Rome! Where next on her bucket list?… The Maldives.
Chris
Creative Director
Our lego loving, car fanatic Chris started Orbital Design in 2003 and since then his wealth of experience has helped clients of all business types and sizes. From your very first business card, to your latest catalogue or packaging requirement - Chris is on it! Alongside creating fabulous designs, Chris spends most of his time trying to work out how to get Catherine to the Maldives.
Claire
Account Manager
Claire is our fabulous Account Manager here at Orbital Design. She makes sure that projects stand out, and are delivered to clients on time and in budget. You may hear us calling her ‘Cake’, the nickname she has adopted since bringing in her beautiful bakes for us all to enjoy. Claire also loves photography, jewellery and experiments with making her own cocktails!
Ben
Creative & Web Designer
Ben brings big ideas, sharp design instincts, and a serious love for typography to every project he tackles. With a strong focus on logo design, illustration, and branding, he makes sure your visuals don’t just look amazing - they speak directly to the right audience, in just the right way. Outside the studio, Ben is an electronic music producer, channelling his creativity into sound as well as design. He’s also a big fan of classic horror films - especially the cult favourites of the 1980s. His wide-ranging creative influences bring depth and character to everything he designs.

At Orbital, we believe good design should go hand in hand with doing good. That’s why we’re proud to support our local community and a number of charities close to our hearts. Whether it’s offering our creative services to local initiatives, sponsoring events, or getting hands-on with fundraising, we’re always looking for ways to make a positive impact beyond the studio.
